Maynard Makes creations are made in a home kitchen in Los Angeles, California. No cats are allowed in the kitchen.

Luisa Peña is the baker behind Maynard Makes. She has been baking for as long as she can remember and even sold her cakes as a teenager. She loves those overstuffed cookies and beautifully intricate cakes, but ultimately prefers a homemade cookie or cake that prioritizes flavor, texture, and taste over Instagrammableness. She’s still in search of a chocolate birthday cake she likes better than her own.

  • 48-hour notice is required for all cookie orders, with the exception of holiday cookies, which require 72-hour notice.
